Friends
This letter is appearing in this simple form to tell you about two important events that we hope you will support,
The first is our 25th Anniversary Birthday Party. This will be held at the Leisure Centre after swimming on the 12th July. Dress will be informal, but no wet costumes will be allowed and skinny dipping is not part of the event. Tickets will cost £3.00p and may be obtained from our reception desk. Please come, like total eclipses of the sun such occasions do not occur every day, and I for one don’t expect to be around for the fiftieth. If I am the evening will be on me!
Picnic Party. The Garden Party will be held at Furzefield as usual, by kind permission of our President, Alan Gick. The date is 3rdAugust. Please watch the desk for further information. Tickets will cost £1.50in advance and £2.00 on the day. This will cover a boat trip, use of the swimming pool, and a cup of tea. Please bring your own picnic – and a chair to sit on! It is not possible to provide food this year.
